Spring 2019 Issue: The Resurrection: An Expository Look at First Corinthians 15
The spring 2019 issue of the Expositor is available now! As the Apostle Paul drew First Corinthians to a close, he had to address a major problem—the Corinthian’s view of the resurrection. At least some were touting the claim, “there is no resurrection of the dead.” Was this view a big deal? Apparently so! Paul, and more importantly the Holy Spirit, saw fit for Christians to possess a proper belief and understanding of what lies ahead for the faithful.
The resurrection of the dead is not just a nice thought or just one possible solution. It’s an important promise for Christians to hold to and defend; a reality that has tremendous repercussions if denied. Thus, Paul penned the contents of First Corinthians 15—the lengthiest treatment of the resurrection in the Bible. In this issue, various preachers of the gospel provide expository articles addressing each section of this great chapter of Scripture. From common ground introduction to climactic victory in Jesus, this issue explores the rich truths found in this great chapter on the resurrection!
