II. Promise (i.e. assurance):

1. 2 Peter 3:4 – Peter speaks of “the promise of his coming.”
2. Promises – (“In the mouth of two or three witnesses…” – Here are 3 witness in addition to Peter)
   1. Angels – Acts 1:9-11
   2. Paul – Heb. 9:28
   3. Jesus – Jn. 14:3

III. Panorama:

1. Def. “panorama” – a comprehensive picture of a chain of events or a specific subject. Cp. “mountains” panoramic view. Following is a kind of “Panorama” of the 2^nd coming.
2. Thing that shall will be heard.
   1. 1 Thess. 4:16 – 3 Audible things.
      1. a shout.”
      2. voice of the archangel”
      3. the trumpet of God.”
3. Things that will be seen.
   1. Want to affirm: We Will See Him! (Rev. 1:7)
   2. Come in the clouds
      1. Again – Rev. 1:7; Acts 1:11 (left with clouds; he will come with clouds).
   3. Angels will accompany Him (2 Thess. 1:7; Jude 14)
4. Other Details:
   1. Resurrection of the Dead: Acts 24:15; Jn. 5:28-29.
   2. The Living: 1 Thess. 4:16-17; 1 Cor. 15:52-53; Phil. 3:21
   3. The Fate of the Earth: 2 Pet. 3:10-12
